When do you need this adapter plug?
More and more cars from Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, and Seat are equipped with a new type of Quadlock connector, also known as a MIB connector. It looks almost identical on the outside, but has a different pin layout and two thicker power connections.
Many new car radios, including Android and CarPlay systems, still use the standard old Quadlock connector. This means you can't connect the radio directly to the car's plug.
