Additional information for your car
This Cartronix car radio is specifically designed for Volkswagen from model years 2003 to 2019. Please note the following points:

• If your car is equipped with an original reversing camera, the CTX-3408 Camera decoder needed to keep the camera and make it visible on a new car radio.
• For cars from model year 2014 onwards, an additional cable is required for the installation of this car radio, namely the MIB connector (CTX-3401). This connector is required to ensure compatibility with the car's original functions. The MIB connector ensures that the new car radio can communicate correctly with the modern systems of these vehicles, including steering wheel controls and other integrated functions. Therefore, check when purchasing whether your car falls under this category and ensure you have the correct cable for a flawless installation.
• If you own a Volkswagen, Seat, or Skoda manufactured before 2011, additional steps are required for the installation to prevent the car radio from draining your battery. In that case, we advise you to contact us. If you have a car manufactured from 2011 onwards, the installation is plug-and-play.
• If your car has a CD changer, you will no longer be able to use it after removing the original radio. It is therefore advisable to remove the CDs from the changer before removing the radio.
