CarPlay &Android Auto is an option supported by the Cartronix CTX-118909 car radio. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto allow you to safely operate your smartphone while driving.

When you connect your phone to the Cartronix CTX-118909 via USB, you can get directions, make calls, and listen to music, among other things. You can even record WhatsApp messages that are sent as text messages.

FM, AM & DAB+ radio
Enjoy your favorite radio station with the best music and the hottest DJs. With the Cartronix CTX-118909 radio running Android 11, you can do this in several ways. First and foremost, via AM or FM, but also using DAB+. If you already know you want to use DAB+ because of the many radio stations and the sound quality, you'll need the CTX-3354 DAB+ antenna and adapter for this radio. These are available separately.

Free navigation and updates
With the Cartronix CTX-118909, driving to your destination is incredibly easy. If you choose online navigation, you can choose from apps like Google Maps. However, if you browse the Google Play Store, you'll find many more online navigation options. One example is Waze. These apps allow you to navigate offline and update the maps free of charge.

This radio comes standard with an offline navigation program that allows you to navigate at no additional cost thanks to the included GPS receiver. The navigation can be set in various languages, including Dutch, French, and English.

Self-installation and installation
Although this unit isn't a factory-installed Seat radio, it was specifically designed by Cartronix for Volkswagen models. It's the perfect replacement for the factory-installed radio. Installing the Cartronix CTX-118909 doesn't require any technical expertise.

If you have a Volkswagen, Seat, or Skoda manufactured before 2011, additional steps are required during installation to prevent the car radio from draining your battery. In that case, we recommend consulting an installation specialist or our installation partner, Cartop Automotive, who can carry out the installation professionally.

If you have a car manufactured after 2011, the installation is plug-and-play.

Original accessories and options

If your car has a dealer-supplied rearview camera, be aware that it's not a plug-and-play setup. To connect the camera, you'll need an adapter that connects the original camera to an RCA connector. If your car has a CD changer, you won't be able to use it after removing the original radio. Therefore, it's recommended that you remove the CDs from the changer before removing the radio.
