When you connect your phone to the Cartronix CTX-118515 via USB, you can get directions, make phone calls, and listen to music, among other things. Free navigation and updates
With the Cartronix CTX-118515, driving to your destination is incredibly easy. If you choose online navigation, you can choose from apps like Google Maps. However, if you browse the Google Play Store, you'll find many more online navigation options. One example is Waze. These apps allow you to navigate offline and update the maps free of charge.

This radio comes standard with an offline navigation program that allows you to navigate at no additional cost thanks to the included GPS receiver. The navigation can be set in various languages, including Dutch, French, and English.

Self-installation and installation
Although this unit isn't a factory-installed RNS radio, it was specifically designed by Cartronix for various Volkswagen, Skoda, and Seat car models. It's the perfect replacement for the factory-installed radio. Installing the Cartronix CTX-118515 is easy. For most users, it's simply plug and play.

If you have a Volkswagen, Seat, or Skoda manufactured before 2011, you'll need to perform additional installation steps to prevent the car radio from draining your battery.In that case, we advise you to consult an installation specialist or our installation partner Cartop Automotive, who can carry out the installation professionally.

If you have a car manufactured after 2011, the installation is plug-and-play.

Additional cable required for cars manufactured from 2014 onwards: CTX-3401
For cars manufactured from 2014 onwards, installing this car radio requires an additional cable, the MIB connector. This connector is necessary to ensure compatibility with the car's original functions. The MIB connector ensures that the new car radio can communicate correctly with the modern systems of these vehicles, including steering wheel controls and other integrated features. Therefore, when purchasing a radio, check whether your car falls into this category and ensure you have the correct cable for a smooth installation.

Original accessories and options
If your car has a dealer-supplied rearview camera, be aware that it's not a plug-and-play solution. To connect the camera, you'll need an adapter that connects the original camera to an RCA connector. This adapter is known as part number CTX-3408.
If your car has a CD changer, you won't be able to use it after removing the original radio. Therefore, it's advisable to remove the CDs from the changer before removing the radio.
