• If you own a Volkswagen, Seat, or Skoda manufactured before 2011, additional steps are required during installation to prevent the car radio from draining your battery. In this case, we advise consulting an installation specialist or our installation partner Cartop Automotive, as they can carry out the installation professionally. If you have a car manufactured from 2011 onwards, the installation is plug-and-play.
• For cars from model year 2014 onwards, an extra cable is required for the installation of this car radio, namely the CTX-3401. This connector is required to ensure compatibility with the car's original functions. The MIB connector ensures that the new car radio can communicate correctly with the modern systems of these vehicles, including steering wheel controls and other integrated functions.
