CTX-3301 | Optic Fiber decoder | Mercedes E klasse w211 | S/SL/SLK/CL

CTX-3301 | Optic Fiber decoder | Mercedes E class w211 | ClS/S/SL/SLK/CL

The CTX-3301 Optic fiber decoder allows you to connect an after-market car radio to your Mercedes E-class w211 or other Mercedes models with a Bose or Harman Kardon amplifier and sound system from 2003 to 2008. Thanks to the Optic fiber decoder, it is not necessary to pull cables from the trunk to the radio

The CTX-3301 decodes the audio that flows from the amplifier to the speakers via a fiber optic connection. This allows you to connect an Android or other aftermarket car stereo to your original speakers.

    Suitable for:

    Mercedes

    • CLS (w219) 2005 to 2008
    • E class (w211) 2003 to 2008
    • S Class (w220) 2004 to 2006
    • SL Class (w230) 2005 to 2008
    • SLK Class (w171) 2005 to 2008
    • CL Class (w215) 2004 to 2006
    • B Class (w245) 2005 to 2008

This item is suitable for Mercedes models up to and including 2008. For Mercedes models from 2009 onwards, item CTX-3303 is suitable.

    Connect and install

A fiber optic connection is often an orange wire located on the back of your factory radio. The CTX-3301 fiber optic decoder is installed on the back of the aftermarket car radio. All cables only need to be connected to the front.

Installing this product is simple, but requires some knowledge. The CTX-3301 comes with an installation manual so you can complete the installation yourself. This item is only required in combination with a Bose or Harman Kardon sound system.

If you have an original CD changer from the Mercedes factory, it will no longer work after replacing the original radio. It's also not possible to connect the original radio antennas. In that case, we recommend using the free digital radio via CarPlay or Android Auto.
